Lee Academy Celebrates 2026 National Honor Society Inductees

Clarksdale, Mississippi — Lee Academy proudly inducted its newest members into the National Honor Society (NHS) during a special ceremony held Tuesday, February 24, 2026. The evening honored an outstanding group of students recognized for excellence in character, leadership, service, and scholarship — the four pillars of the National Honor Society.

Family and friends gathered to celebrate the achievements of these students, whose dedication extends beyond the classroom and into the community. The ceremony highlighted not only academic success, but also the integrity, responsibility, and servant leadership that define Lee Academy’s mission.

Each inductee was selected based on academic performance, leadership ability, commitment to service, and strong moral character — qualities that reflect the highest standards of Lee Academy.

The ceremony also recognized the 2026 NHS officers and returning members who continue to lead by example within the school community:

  • Vice President: Bella Favi, Senior
  • Secretary: Larson Cook, Senior
  • Officer of Character: Addie Carpenter, Junior
  • Officer of Leadership: Maggie Lewis, Junior
  • Officer of Scholarship: Colton Dixon, Junior
  • Officer of Service: Kalyn Matthews, Junior
  • Cayson Barringer, Junior
  • Braiden Blair, Junior

These student leaders play an important role in organizing service projects and fostering a culture of excellence throughout the academy.

National Honor Society Sponsor Beverly Antici extended heartfelt thanks to the families and supporters in attendance.

“Thank you, parents, grandparents, and friends for joining us to celebrate and recognize these special students for their character, leadership, service, and scholarship,” Antici said. “Thank you to our Head of School, Mrs. Walker, for her continued support and encouragement.”

She also expressed appreciation to the faculty members who mentor and guide students as they grow into responsible leaders and lifelong learners.

Gratitude was extended to Mrs. Meg Lewis and the mothers who graciously provided a reception following the ceremony, adding a warm and celebratory touch to the evening.

The 2026 NHS induction ceremony served as a proud reminder that academic achievement, service, and integrity remain at the heart of Lee Academy’s tradition.
