CLARKSDALE, MS. — Families looking for an exciting and educational summer opportunity for their children can now register for Camp Invention at Clarksdale Collegiate Public Charter School. Organizers announced that registration is officially open for the nationally recognized STEM-based summer camp, with 90 free spots available for local students.

The weeklong program is open to rising first through sixth grade Clarksdale Collegiate students and is designed to inspire creativity, teamwork, and innovation through hands-on activities and problem-solving challenges.

Camp Invention combines science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning with interactive projects that encourage children to think outside the box while building confidence and leadership skills. Campers will work alongside friends and qualified local educators as they tackle exciting challenges and bring imaginative ideas to life.

This year’s “Spark Summer Fun” program promises a variety of engaging activities focused on invention, discovery, and creativity in a fun-filled environment.

The camp will be held July 6–10, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Clarksdale Collegiate Public Charter School, located at 1012 West Second Street in Clarksdale.

According to organizers, spaces are limited and expected to fill quickly. Families are encouraged to register as soon as possible to secure a spot.

The free program is made possible through the support of the Walton Family Foundation. A limited number of need-based scholarships will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
