FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jackson, Miss. — The Bean Path, in partnership with the Mississippi AI Collaborative, will host its third annual AI Month this June, a citywide initiative designed to help Metro Jackson residents explore how artificial intelligence is already shaping everyday life and unlocking new possibilities across careers, business, and education.
AI Month will bring together residents, entrepreneurs, educators, and community leaders through a series of interactive experiences, discussions, and hands-on programming—all focused on making AI more accessible, practical, and relevant for everyday use.
“AI is transforming how we live and work, but access to that knowledge hasn’t always been equitable,” said Tamika Jenkins, Executive Director of The Bean Path. “AI Month is about ensuring our community is not left out of the future. We’re creating space for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with this technology in ways that are approachable and meaningful.”
AI Month 2026 will feature programming designed to engage a wide range of audiences—from professionals and entrepreneurs to seniors and youth—highlighting how artificial intelligence is influencing industries, workforce development, and everyday life.
The week kicks off with the AI Month Luncheon with The Bean Path hosting meaningful conversations on how AI is impacting industries, workforce development and everyday life and sharing its seven year impact report.
Returning for the third year is the Southern Spark Conference. A two-day experience bringing together innovators, business leaders, and creatives for keynote conversations, panel discussions, and real-world insights on how AI is shaping the future of work and innovation.
The Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) will host a scavenger hunt. Seniors will be provided a hands-on, supportive environment where they can explore AI tools, build confidence, and learn how technology can enhance everyday tasks—from communication to accessing information.
The AI Digital Storytelling Camp is a creative experience where young people use AI tools to create digital content while exploring storytelling through video, visuals, and writing—introducing the next generation to emerging technology in an engaging way.
AI Month reflects The Bean Path’s broader mission to bridge the gap between access and opportunity—ensuring that individuals and communities have the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
From first-time users to experienced professionals, AI Month is designed to meet participants where they are—offering opportunities to learn, explore, and apply AI in ways that are both practical and empowering.
AI Month events will take place throughout June in Jackson, Mississippi.
