CLARKSDALE, Miss. — A new spot serving colorful drinks, smoothies and açaí bowls is officially open in downtown Clarksdale following Crossroad Nutrition’s grand opening and ribbon-cutting celebration at 260 Delta Avenue.

Owned by Ronald Weeks and Vinetria Johnson, Crossroad Nutrition was created from the couple’s shared vision of bringing fresh, flavorful and feel-good options to the community in a welcoming atmosphere.

“We wanted to bring something to the community that made everyone feel good, just to have something nutritious,” Weeks said during the celebration. “I want to thank my partner and everyone who helped.”

Crossroad Nutrition’s menu features loaded teas, shakes, smoothies and açaí bowls, offering customers a variety of refreshing options. But for Weeks and Johnson, the business is about more than what is served in a cup.

“At Crossroad Nutrition, we don’t just make bowls; we make beautiful, delicious, feel-good moments in a cup,” the owners shared.

Even before officially opening their doors, Weeks and Johnson began introducing Crossroad Nutrition to the community. The pair visited area schools and businesses, passing out samples and giving residents an opportunity to try some of their products.

That community-focused approach reflects the vision behind the business. The couple hopes to create a place where customers can stop in for a refreshing drink, positive energy and an enjoyable experience.

The ribbon-cutting celebration brought together supporters and local leaders, including Clarksdale Mayor Orlando Paden, former Mayor Chuck Espy and Chamber of Commerce President John Levingston, who joined in welcoming the new business to the community.

Levingston also congratulated Johnson on becoming one of the newest members of the Chamber of Commerce, further strengthening Crossroad Nutrition’s connection to the local business community.

For Weeks and Johnson, opening Crossroad Nutrition represents the result of hard work, partnership and a desire to invest in Clarksdale. The couple expressed gratitude for the support they have received and said they are excited to welcome customers through their doors.

Crossroad Nutrition is located at 260 Delta Avenue in Clarksdale and is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Weekend hours are also available, with customers encouraged to check with the business for the most current Saturday and Sunday schedule.

With its doors now open, Weeks and Johnson hope Crossroad Nutrition becomes more than another downtown business. They want it to be a place where customers feel welcomed and appreciated — and leave feeling a little better than when they walked in.
