Clarksdale, MS — The community is invited to come together in support of cancer awareness, remembrance, and hope during the upcoming Clarksdale/Coahoma County Relay for Life event, scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2026.
The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the James E. Miller Football Stadium on the campus of Coahoma Community College, located at 3240 Friars Point Road.
Relay for Life is a longstanding community tradition that brings together survivors, caregivers, families, and supporters to honor those affected by cancer while raising awareness and encouraging continued efforts in the fight against the disease. The event typically features moments of reflection, celebration of survivors, and opportunities for the community to unite for a meaningful cause.
Organizers note that in the event of inclement weather, the program will be relocated to the Safe Room on the Coahoma Community College campus to ensure the event can proceed safely.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend, participate, and show their support for those impacted by cancer. The evening promises to be both uplifting and impactful, highlighting the strength and unity of the Clarksdale and Coahoma County community.
For many, Relay for Life serves as a reminder that no one fights alone—and that together, communities can continue to make a difference.
