Clarksdale, Miss. — The holiday spirit was on full display this Christmas Eve as local businesses and law enforcement joined forces to brighten the season for area children during the 2nd Annual Christmas Bike Giveaway, hosted by Tinney Auto Repair & Wrecker and The Latest Craze.
Held at Tinney Auto Repair, the event provided free bicycles to children from across the community, turning an ordinary holiday afternoon into a memorable celebration filled with excitement, laughter, and gratitude. Families gathered as children eagerly selected their new bikes, many experiencing the joy of receiving one for the very first time.
The Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office was invited to participate in the event and expressed sincere appreciation for being included. Representatives from the Sheriff’s Office noted that opportunities like this strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the community while allowing deputies to connect with families in a positive and meaningful way.
“Seeing the smiles on the children’s faces made the day a great success,” officials shared, emphasizing how impactful the event was for both families and participants.
Organizers said the giveaway reflects the power of collaboration and the importance of local businesses stepping up to support their neighbors—especially during the holiday season. Tinney Auto Repair and The Latest Craze were praised for their continued commitment to giving back and for creating an event that has quickly become a cherished Clarksdale tradition.
As the community looks ahead, the Sheriff’s Office and local supporters expressed enthusiasm about participating in future events and continuing partnerships that uplift families and spread goodwill throughout Clarksdale.
