CLEVELAND, Miss. — The work behind sports coverage will take center stage at Delta State University when coaches and media professionals gather for a discussion about reaching audiences in a digital world.
“The Digital Sideline: Sports and Content Creation in Mississippi and Beyond” is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, October 19, in Jobe Hall Auditorium, according to the university.
The panel will feature Blake Levine of the Magnolia Shine Podcast; Tangela Banks, Mississippi Delta Community College’s head women’s basketball coach and interim athletic director; and Tyler Cleveland of the Crooked Letter Sports podcast.
Their perspectives will connect athletics leadership with journalism and independent media production. Topics include sports marketing, content creation and career opportunities.
Todd Davis and Don Allan Mitchell will lead the conversation. A question-and-answer session will give attendees an opportunity to participate.
Delta State’s School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and Division of Sport and Movement Sciences are co-sponsoring the event. Students, employees and community members are encouraged to attend.
