CLARKSDALE, Miss. — A free outdoor music festival will bring an afternoon of live entertainment to downtown Clarksdale on Saturday, Oct. 17.
Visit Clarksdale lists the Crossroads Music Festival from noon until 8 p.m. in the green space next to Zee’s BBQ at 365 Issaquena Avenue. Admission is free.
The gathering adds another public music event to a busy October in the city recognized internationally for its blues heritage. Its downtown location also places visitors within walking distance of restaurants, shops and other cultural attractions.
Organizers had not released a performer lineup as of Oct. 11. Anyone planning a trip specifically to see an individual musician should check the event listing before traveling.
Because the festival is outdoors, visitors should also monitor the forecast and any organizer announcements about weather-related changes. Seating arrangements, food-vendor details and other site policies had not been published on the official listing.
The festival is scheduled during the same weekend as several other Clarksdale cultural programs, giving residents and visitors another opportunity to spend time downtown while supporting local hospitality businesses.
