Clarksdale, Mississippi–  — In the wake of a rare and powerful winter storm, Ms Delta Advocate News extends its heartfelt appreciation to the resilient residents across the Mississippi Delta who came together to document and share how their neighborhoods were impacted by snow and ice over the weekend.

As freezing temperatures swept across the region, snow and ice transformed the Delta into an uncommon winter landscape. Community members from small towns and rural areas alike captured the moment through photos and videos, offering a window into scenes rarely witnessed in this part of the state. Snow-covered streets, fields, rooftops, and yards painted a striking picture of the storm’s reach, with each submission telling a unique story of how the weather affected different corners of the Delta.

Compared to last year, this winter weather event hit harder, bringing heavier snowfall and longer-lasting icy conditions. Families have so far been unable to get out and enjoy playing in the snow as they normally would, as many areas remain affected by lingering ice and freezing temperatures.

Ms Delta Advocate News thanks everyone who contributed their photos, videos, and stories. Your participation helped capture the beauty, impact, and heart of a winter weekend the Mississippi Delta won’t soon forget.
