Clarksdale, Mississippi– This week, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Diaper Bank of the Delta (DBD)—a vital 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving families across the Mississippi Delta with compassion, dignity, and real support when it’s needed most.

DBD is tackling two critical but often overlooked challenges in our state: diaper need, which affects 1 in 3 families, and period poverty, impacting 1 in 4 women and girls in Mississippi. These basic necessities are not covered by SNAP or WIC, leaving many families struggling to meet everyday needs. That’s where Diaper Bank of the Delta steps in.

As a proud member of the National Diaper Bank Network and Baby2Baby, DBD provides essential items including diapers, wipes, books, period products, and other infant and toddler supplies to families facing financial hardship or disaster-related crises. Beyond distribution, the organization also offers education, connections to community resources, and advocacy on behalf of women and children, working to create long-term solutions and stronger families.

Executive Director Chelesa Presley leads the organization with a clear mission: ensuring that no family in the Delta has to choose between food, utilities, or basic hygiene for their children.
