Rising to Serve: Clarksdale Officers Earn Their Badge at Law Enforcement Academy Graduation

Clarksdale, Miss. — The community is celebrating a significant achievement following the graduation of two local law enforcement officers from the Mississippi Delta Community College Law Enforcement Academy on March 19.

Officer Curvess Williams of the Clarksdale Police Department and Deputy Samuel Marshall of the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Department successfully completed the academy as part of Class 26-B82. Their accomplishment reflects months of intensive training and a strong commitment to public service.

Both officers have shown dedication to their roles and a clear passion for serving and protecting the people of Clarksdale and Coahoma County. Their graduation represents not only personal success, but also a continued effort to strengthen local law enforcement.

Joining them for the occasion were Clarksdale Police Chief Vincent Ramirez and Coahoma County Sheriff Mario Magbsy. Their support highlights the strong partnership between city and county agencies, working together toward a common goal of community safety.
