(Clarksdale, Mississippi) – Coahoma Community College invites students, faculty, and the surrounding community to experience an exciting and enriching Cultural Awareness Week, happening April 13 through April 17, 2026.Celebrating 77 years of Voice, Vision, and Victory, this annual tradition shines a spotlight on heritage, unity, and the vibrant spirit of the CCC campus.

Cultural Awareness Week is designed to bring people together through shared experiences that inspire learning, celebration, and connection. Throughout the week, attendees will explore the legacy of culture through music, film, conversation, and community engagement. Each event has been thoughtfully planned to reflect both the history and the future of CCC, creating opportunities for reflection, growth, and joy.

The celebration begins with a powerful display of musical talent at the Annual Spring Choir Concert, setting the tone for a week filled with inspiration. The following day, participants will engage in a meaningful film screening that highlights the impact of historically Black colleges and universities, paired with a panel discussion that encourages dialogue and deeper understanding.

As the week continues, students will have opportunities to connect and unwind through engaging social events, including a high-energy silent headphone party and an interactive game night. Academic and professional growth are also at the forefront with College Transfer Day, providing valuable resources for students planning their next steps.

One of the week’s most anticipated moments is the Crowned in Confidence Queen’s Tea Empowerment Event, which promotes self-confidence, leadership, and personal growth in an elegant and uplifting setting.
