Clarksdale, Miss. — As of June 16, 2026, the Women’s Resource Center has officially opened its doors in Clarksdale, providing free services and support to expecting parents and families throughout the community.
Created with the health and well-being of families in mind, the nonprofit organization offers free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting education, and family support services—all in one location.
Judey Haney shared information about the value the center brings to the communities it serves. Guided by a pro-life mission, the organization emphasizes the importance of prenatal care and the health and safety of both mother and unborn child as essential components of a healthy pregnancy and strong family unit.
To support that mission, the Women’s Resource Center provides free ultrasounds, pregnancy testing, parenting classes, and access to a baby boutique stocked with diapers, formula, clothing, and other infant necessities.
The center not only addresses the physical and emotional needs of expectant mothers but also offers fatherhood classes designed to help both parents build a strong foundation for raising their child. Organizers believe these resources can increase opportunities for children and families to thrive.
The new location fills a significant need in Clarksdale. Previously, the nearest free resource of its kind was the Women’s Resource Center in Cleveland, the parent organization of the Clarksdale site. Now, local residents can access prenatal support services without the burden of travel or additional costs.
The Clarksdale Women’s Resource Center is currently open on Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is located at 200 Old Highway 61, Lyon, MS 38645.
As the center continues to establish operations, volunteers are needed to assist with daily activities. The organization is also seeking a qualified ultrasound technician for a paid position.
