Hello Baby Giveaway to Support Expectant Moms in Indianola

Jackson, MS (June 11, 2026) — Expectant and new moms in Indianola, MS can say Hello Baby with confidence thanks to support from the Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health.  From 2 p.m.-5 p.m., June 26, the Institute will distribute free baby supplies at Delta Health Alliance Early Head Start, located at 114 Second St., Indianola, MS.  Families also will have access to information on tobacco-free living, maternal mental health and other services that promote healthy outcomes for both mom and baby.

The Hello Baby Giveaway is funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and is part of the Institute’s ongoing efforts to reduce maternal and child health disparities across Sunflower County.  Items will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basiswhile supplies last.

The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health was established in 2019 to reduce health disparities among disadvantaged and underserved minority populations in Mississippi through the development of collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders and the implementation of evidence-based public health interventions with a particular focus on health equity.
