The webinars are designed to create safe, supportive spaces for honest conversations about emotional wellness, mental health awareness, and strengthening family support systems.

The first session, Expectant, New & Postpartum Moms Webinar, will take place at 6 p.m, Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Hosted by Mom.ME, the session will focus on maternal mental health and the unique challenges many mothers face during pregnancy and postpartum. Topics will include understanding maternal mental health, how stigma impacts moms and families, encouraging open conversations at home, and building stronger support systems.

The second session, Men’s Mental Health Webinar, will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2026. Hosted by Dr. Damien Thomas of Resilience Counseling & Recovery Center, LLC, the webinar will address the importance of prioritizing mental health among men and breaking generational cycles of silence. Discussion topics include understanding men’s mental health, navigating stress and emotional well-being, healthy coping strategies, and strengthening family support systems.

Both webinars are free and open to the public. These conversations are important because mental health affects individuals, families, and entire communities.  The Institute and UMMC want people to know they are not alone and that support is available.
